High-potash feldspar that Laguna sold as 'G-200 New Potash' after the original G-200 blend ended. Laguna also sold a 3:7 Minspar 200 : G-200 HP mix as 'G200 Old Blend' to match the old chemistry.
Oxide analysis and unity formula
Glazecalc has the analysis of G-200 HP Feldspar as weight percent of the raw material. The unity contribution is the moles of each oxide in the amount of G-200 HP Feldspar that holds 1.0 mole of flux, which is how Glazecalc adds it into a recipe's unity formula.
| Oxide | Weight % | Unity contribution |
|---|---|---|
| SiO₂ | 65.9 | 6.161 |
| Al₂O₃ | 18.2 | 1.003 |
| Fe₂O₃ | 0.09 | 0.003 |
| K₂O | 13.2 | 0.787 |
| Na₂O | 1.52 | 0.138 |
| CaO | 0.75 | 0.075 |
- Equivalent weight
- 561.69
- Fired weight
- 560.79
- Loss on ignition
- 0.16%
The equivalent weight is the grams of G-200 HP Feldspar that hold 1.0 mole of flux. The fired weight is what is left of that after firing.
Hazards and safety
Hazards: Contains crystalline silica; avoid breathing the dust.
Use it in a recipe
