Artware flux calcium borosilicate frit; Fusion's listed equivalent of Vibrantz 3134. Versus 3134-2 (Ferro 2008): Al2O3 -1.20, B2O3 +1.01, SiO2 -0.56, CaO +0.49, Na2O +0.26 points; it melts slightly more fluidly.

Oxide analysis and unity formula

Glazecalc has the analysis of Fusion Frit F-12 as weight percent of the raw material. The unity contribution is the moles of each oxide in the amount of Fusion Frit F-12 that holds 1.0 mole of flux, which is how Glazecalc adds it into a recipe's unity formula.

Oxides in Fusion Frit F-12
Oxide Weight % Unity contribution
Na₂O10.40.320
CaO200.680
B₂O₃23.80.652
Al₂O₃0.80.015
SiO₂451.428
Equivalent weight
190.68
Fired weight
190.68
Loss on ignition
0%

The equivalent weight is the grams of Fusion Frit F-12 that hold 1.0 mole of flux. The fired weight is what is left of that after firing.

Hazards and safety

Hazards: Non-hazardous glass powder per supplier SDS; avoid breathing dust.

Glazecalc shows the hazard wording as its record gives it. It is not a full risk assessment, so read the safety data sheet from your supplier. Before you handle any glaze material, read Safe mixing and ventilation and Glaze safety at home.

Use it in a recipe
