Oxide analysis and unity formula
Glazecalc has the analysis of Titanium Oxide as moles of each fired oxide per formula. The unity contribution is the moles of each oxide in the amount of Titanium Oxide that holds 1.0 mole of flux, which is how Glazecalc adds it into a recipe's unity formula.
Titanium Oxide has no flux oxide, so its unity contribution is per formula as written.
| Oxide | Moles | Unity contribution |
|---|---|---|
| TiO₂ | 1 | 1.000 |
- Equivalent weight
- 79.87
- Fired weight
- 79.87
- Loss on ignition
- 0%
The equivalent weight is the grams of Titanium Oxide that hold 1.0 mole of flux. The fired weight is what is left of that after firing.
Hazards and safety
Hazards: Not classified under EU rules (KRONOS SDS, non-pigmentary grade; CTM SDS 26 agrees); avoid breathing the dust.
Use it in a recipe
Add Titanium Oxide to a recipe in the Glazecalc calculator to see what it does to a glaze's unity formula.
