Boro-calcium dinnerware frit; Fusion's listed equivalent of Vibrantz 3124. Versus 3124-2 (Ferro 2008): B2O3 +0.86, K2O -0.68 (none in F-19), Na2O +0.60, SiO2 -0.44, Al2O3 -0.31 points; it flows a little more.
Oxide analysis and unity formula
Glazecalc has the analysis of Fusion Frit F-19 as weight percent of the raw material. The unity contribution is the moles of each oxide in the amount of Fusion Frit F-19 that holds 1.0 mole of flux, which is how Glazecalc adds it into a recipe's unity formula.
| Oxide | Weight % | Unity contribution |
|---|---|---|
| CaO | 14.2 | 0.692 |
| Na₂O | 7 | 0.308 |
| B₂O₃ | 14.6 | 0.573 |
| Al₂O₃ | 9.7 | 0.260 |
| SiO₂ | 54.5 | 2.477 |
- Equivalent weight
- 273.1
- Fired weight
- 273.1
- Loss on ignition
- 0%
The equivalent weight is the grams of Fusion Frit F-19 that hold 1.0 mole of flux. The fired weight is what is left of that after firing.
Hazards and safety
Hazards: Non-hazardous glass powder per supplier SDS; avoid breathing dust.
Use it in a recipe
